She suggested me to start the activity with the group then it would be more convenient for me. I came back home and had a talk with other village women and found that some of them agreed and most of them disagreed.

Few of us started our training at SAHAJ and began our work. By looking at my work and earnings other women also showed their interest and the organization arranged training for six months with the help of DC handicrafts at our village only. It was very convenient for me and other women to learn at our homes. I have upgraded my skill and tried my best to improve the quality of the products. Last year my products were displayed at the fair in Surat and due to the excellent quality of the product I was selected for the state level award. I got the shield as the state level prize for the best artisan and a sum of rupees five thousand. A citation was also presented by our honorable Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 15th August.

 I am very happy that my work is appreciated by every one and I got an award for my work. People say that I am the first tribal woman who has won this prize in the history of Dahod for crafts.

Today I am earning 2000 to 3000 very easily. I am working as a trainer and Master craftsperson. I also help other women to upgrade their skills to earn more by investing same time. We are 98 women from my village who joined same activity. We have our own savings activities and at the same time it is very easy for us to take loan from the bank.

I am very happy that my enthusiasm to work has developed opportunity for earning for my entire village.
